Ninja Gaiden 2

This is 1 of my long awaited games for the xbox 360 console. Having played Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black on the Xbox console long ago, I expected a lot from this game. It is good. I enjoyed it a lot. But there were a things that brought the game down the ranks. I finished this game in Path of Warrior in 3days or less. Haven't gotten to finish Mentor yet cause I am busy withother stuff.

The Good:
  • Variety; You got a whole arsenal of weapons to choose from. Old weapons from the previous title were brought back with some new techniques and I still love using them. New weapons include the Sword of the archfiend, Falcon's Talon, the rugged Eclipse Blade and much more. Giving you more choices on how you can finish off your enemies. The not so useful bow is also powered up, being able to charge the bows attack just like an Ultimate Techniques.
  • Bad Blood; Yes, what is more enjoying than being able to cut off the limbs off your enemies? heads, arms, torso..yeah, that lot. You can just use your normal attacks to cut off arms and legs, finishing them off with a Obliteration technique or use Ultimate techniques to wreck havoc. Obliteration technique can be different depending on the type enemy and also the weapons used.
  • Heal and Save; I've always wanted this one. It's annoying when you're in a situation where you're at a save point, with low health and no healing items. Team Ninja was kind enough to let you HEAL first then SAVE.
  • Graphics; just to let you know that the old Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox was one of those games with the best graphics that I have ever seen. Which is close to that of the new Gen consoles; the xbox 360 and PS3. Unfortunately, they only added some bit of detail making the game seemingly the same. Certain levels were beautiful especially the jungle missions and the ice forest. But still, Graphics aren't really of my concern because how can you enjoy the game with good graphics when it has shitty game play right?
  • Controls; controls is just as the same as the old titles except with the use of the D-pad to select weapons, projectiles, items and ninpo during gameplay. Which helps as it saves time cause you don't have to press start to go to the menu and choose your items and weapons.
  • Difficulty; Team Ninja shows no mercy as difficulty is worser than the old titles. If you think those were hard. This title is insane. For those who love a challenge,go for it.
The Bad:
  • Camera; your REAL enemy is the camera. Not being able to see your enemies behind, above you or focus on boss. Sadly enough that this has been the prob ever since the old Ninja Gaiden titles and I think it is actually lot worse in this title which is a big disappointment to the game.
  • Lag??? Yes the game actually lags a few during gameplay for some reason. There is one time where you climb up a staircase full of enemies. Hundreds of them. So it lags and you can actually see what you're doing whenever you pull of an ultimate technique to clear the mess up.
  • NO bonus missions; this is what I loved about NG Black. Taking on bonus mission as a challenge. They didn't have that in this title. Boring.
  • NO extra costumes; again which was good in NG Black. You have color variations. But Ryu doesn't look any cooler than his original ninja color scheme. Extra costumes can only be found on xbox live and you have to pay to get them.Bummer -.-
  • Storyline; wasn't much of the storyline. The old NG title had better story telling than this. You have Ryu as the hero, the blond girl to save, the fiends to destroy, the archfiend to eliminate and ryu saves the day without breaking a sweat.
